McChrystal and Military Leadership 06 23 2010

McChrystal and Military Leadership 06 23 2010

How can General McChrystal be running a military campaign when he has reckless disregard for the chain of command himself. Has McChrystal not been able to maintain order and manage soldiers, because he himself does not have this integrity as a soldier? Has he ordered troops to get a job done and have then wine at him and taken no action, and now he is wining at the President? Is this effective leadership?

This reads to me like McCrystal is not a man of the discipline to lead our troops. How can he lead men in what to do, if he cannot take orders or has been ineffective? And the reason I state he has been ineffective is because we are still over there.

And another thing why is McChrystal always smiling? What the heck is he happy about, keeping our troops there ineffectively? A General should be serious, as in get the job done and get it done fast, smile when it is over. The longer we are over there the more likely more of our soldiers are likely to die under your command McChrystal, is that what you are smiling about? He General a don’t ask don’t teller with plenty of fodder readily available to him?

I heard recently that the chain of command can be broken if there is an unlawful order, to me this would mean if you were ordered to torture someone like are good old boys Bush and Chaney were apt to do. Does McChrystal feel he needs to torture?

If McCrystal were allowed to stay in command what will happen next the Republicans apologize to him for what Obama said to him and then make him a candidate for president of the United States. What will he then be the next Republican candidate for President, watch out America.

The recent wars and conflicts of this country were due to a false idealism propagandized to you wealthy Americans by the Republicans. If we are to stay free from war and conflict in the future we have to lead by example. Set a strong example for other countries to follow. Our diplomacy should not be based on oil. We have been sidetracked from investing in and developing alternative energy for more than 30 years in this country by Republican administrations that cannot handle change. They cannot conceive of or implement change effectively for the better because they do not have the intelligence or the nature to do so. Their prerogative is to close the purse strings and give the money back to themselves in the form of lower taxes. To keep up with the pace of the world we are going to have to spend money, and it should not be on cleaning up dirty oil spills or a corruption.

Bring our troops home and have them set up wind farms and solar cell farms, give them all Army Corps of Engineering training to do so. Give them training to install solar panels on the residential rooftops of our homes and set them to it. Independent of foreign energy we will be less likely to have costly foreign conflicts. Send them to the Gulf of Mexico and have them clean up that mess too.
